The Records appear not as an artefact per se but their performance is. Being made from reused acrylic leftovers, the plates only holds the function of appearing as records of Volga Tatar music, real songs and imagined titles. To remind (with the motor’s sound) how alienation from your own culture (or other people’s culture) can sound like and exist.
